Contraindications for Our Treatments ( during), Trainings, retreats, events & workshops.
At Sculpt Angels & Lifestyle, your safety and wellbeing always come first. Before booking a face sculpting, buccal massage, fascia tool, hot herbal ball, or bodywork treatment, please take a moment to check the contraindications below. This helps us tailor your session — or, when needed, advise you to wait or consult a doctor first.
Why Contraindications Matter
Our treatments work deeply with the facial and body tissue, fascia, and nervous system. While this can feel wonderfully relaxing and restorative, certain conditions or circumstances mean a treatment isn’t the right fit at that moment. Being upfront about this protects you and helps us give you the best possible experience.
General Contraindications
Please let us know before your appointment if any of the following apply to you:
• Pregnancy (especially the first trimester) — some pressure points are not suitable, so we need to skip those points during your treatment.
• Active skin infections, open wounds, or severe acne in the treatment area
• Recent facial surgery, fillers, or Botox (within the last 2–4 weeks, depending on the procedure)
• Active cold sores or herpes outbreaks
• Recent fractures, sprains, or unhealed injuries in the face, jaw, or neck
• Blood clotting disorders or use of blood-thinning medication
• Severe cardiovascular conditions or uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Fever, active infection, or feeling generally unwell
• Cancer (active treatment or recent history) — please consult your doctor first
• Epilepsy or seizure disorders, depending on the technique used
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• HIV or AIDS
If you have any medical condition, please consult your doctor first to check whether this treatment is suitable for you.
Specific to Buccal Massage & Face Sculpting
Because these techniques involve intraoral (inside the mouth) work and deep facial pressure, please also let us know about:
• TMJ disorders or jaw surgery
• Dental work in progress, loose teeth, or oral piercings
• Periodontitis (gum disease)
• Oral herpes (cold sores inside the mouth)
• Recent oral surgery
• Active infections inside the mouth
• Allergies to gloves, oils, or products we may use during treatment
Specific to Hot Herbal Ball Therapy
Because heat is involved, please tell us if you have:
• Sensitive or thin skin, varicose veins, or poor circulation in the treatment area
• Diabetes with reduced sensation
• Any known allergy to herbs or plant-based ingredients
Not Sure If a Treatment Is Right for You?
Every body is different, and some conditions aren’t listed above. If you’re uncertain, that’s completely okay — we’d rather check together than guess. Feel free to mention any health conditions, medications, or concerns when booking, so we can adapt the session or recommend a more suitable treatment (also during a training, retreat, event or workshop).
This page is intended as general guidance and does not replace medical advice. When in doubt, please consult your doctor before booking.
